Current Projects
Novels

Sara is currently working on writing books 2 and 5 of the After Earth series. Additionally, she is writing a series of short stories set in the Congressional world that tell of the shaping of Congress and its history.
Update 1/30/07:
The rough drafts of Book 2 (tentatively called The Team) and Book 5 (Forgotten) are finished.   Have begun a stand-alone about Forgotten's early life, called (at least on my word processor) One in a Billion. Now to edit...
Update 1/30/08:
The Rockfarmer War fantasy novel is 2/3 of the way complete, standing at 109k words as of Wednesday, January 30th, 2008. The finished product will probably be around 180k words.

Short Stories

Update 1/30/07:
Currently submitting short stories to speculative fiction magazines.   Stories set in Congressional world: The Vkala, Beda and Shael, The Lab, Preserved, Syuri, The Geuji, The Moldy Dead, Cure of a Lifetime.   Horror stories: The Candle, Trimmings, The Certificate, The Dog, Ancient History, Walled In.   Misc. Stories: Dead Tired.
Update 1/30/08:
34 short stories written and submitted in 2007. The next project, short-story wise, is to write some worldbuilding fantasy shorts in the same universe as The Rockfarmer War.

When she finds the time, Sara would like to re-vamp Gamers, write book 2 of the Millenium Potion, compose short stories set in the Utopian world, finish a horror called Sleeping Lady Lodge, and edit Forgotten.  She also has a half-written sequel to Gamers called Rescue, Inc. that could use some TLC.

Further, Sara has a fantasy story called Lord of the Hunt that, while written six years ago, still has some redeemable qualities.  After she's got her Science Fiction under control, Sara would like to spend the two or three months necessary to rewrite it and make it reader-worthy.   (As it is right now, she cringes every time she sees it.)

Finally, Sara has her fingers crossed on her submissions to the Clarion admissions board for the 2008 session.  It's a 6-week program on science fiction short-story writing that she wants to attend next summer.
